Meet Slav - Your Nutritionist

Hi, I’m Slavisa, the founder of Functional Nutrition. I help clients of all ages lose weight, improve their health, and address chronic concerns such as autoimmune conditions, allergies, and food sensitivities. Through a science-based, root-cause approach, I develop personalized nutrition strategies that target the underlying factors contributing to their issues, so they can regain control of their health and well-being.

With over 15 years of experience in clinical research and public-sector health programs, I’ve worked on a range of chronic conditions including Alzheimer’s, cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, and metabolic disorders. My academic background includes:

  • Registered Holistic Nutritionist - Canadian School of Natural Nutrition

  • Master’s in Biochemistry

  • Master's in Business Administration - with focus in Health Innovation

  • Bachelor’s in Biotechnology and Molecular Biology

My path to nutrition started with personal experience. Like many people, I was looking for real, lasting solutions to improve my health. Once I saw how much of a difference the right food and lifestyle changes could make, I knew I wanted to help others experience the same transformation. That’s what drives the work I do today.
